Novel Ideas is our 6th-8th grade book group. A free copy of the book is provided for the first 8 participants. Light refreshments are served at every meeting. This month we'll be discussion The Legend of the Last Library by Frank L. Cole. In this dystopian novel, a Blight has killed all the trees, making paper's worth skyrocket. Juni scavenges for paper with her friends when she can so she can get enough money to pay for her grandfather's healthcare. One day she finds a book hidden away in her grandfather's closet, and she's excited to sell the paper within it until she begins to read it. It holds clues to what may be the last library on Earth. Juni and her friends are going to find it, only they're in a race to the location against the head of the government mega corporation.
